ABSTRACT PHOTOGRAPHY & HOW TO USE PHOTOGRAPHY FOR OTHER ART

Wayne Kressley will help us understand Abstract Photography--the Competition theme for April.

Abstraction  may be isolation or manipulation of a portion of an image or field to reveal or create a pattern of color, line or shape without being a realistic picture or object,  Sources could include close-ups or extraction from nature, oil and water, ice patterns, reflections, peeling paint.  Extracting details from a large scene may yield pleasing abstractions.  Envisioning post processing effects may also reveal appealing abstractions.

Marit Skelton will show us how she used photography for other art forms. The image shown is an example of how she used one of her images.
