The event was held on Sunday, March 24, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
The Delaware Art Museum offers wonderful photographic opportunities, both inside the museum building and outside: in addition to the architecture and collections within the museum (most collections can be photographed), the large Copeland Sculpture Garden behind the museum provides wonderful shapes and textures, surrounded by lovely trees. In addition there’s an 80-foot diameter medieval labyrinth constructed with 7 tons of Delaware River stone. Finally the stately tree-lined parkway leading to the museum begs for your attention, as does the lovely residential neighborhood of well-appointed historic homes.
Entrance on Sundays is free, though you may want to make a small donation when entering or departing. The museum is considering our request to use tripods both inside the museum and in the sculpture gardens. However, the museum’s special exhibition gallery (gallery 10) never allows photography, and flash photography isn’t permitted in any galleries.

The Museum’s Sunday hours are 10 am – 4 pm. Free off-street museum parking is behind the museum (access is to the right of the museum), and there’s usually plenty of free on-street parking on Kentmere Parkway. There’s a simple café in the museum.
Carpoolers will depart from the Exton Panera (151 East Swedesford Rd, Exton, PA) at 9:30 am. If you drive directly the Delaware Art Museum the address is 2301 Kentmere Parkway, Wilmington, DE. We will meet at the streetside entrance of the Art Museum at 10 am. (Please let Dean Grantham know if you plan to go, and indicate whether or not you’ll be carpooling.)
If you have questions or require further information please contact Dean Grantham.
