MEETING NOTES - MAY 13, 2020
Virtual Meeting
Meeting ~ Due to the Corona Virus pandemic, the Chester County Camera Club held a virtual club meeting. Howard Sundwall called the meeting to order. He asked participants to direct any questions or comments regarding tonight’s speaker to Ginia Apostolacus.
Club Election Deadline ~ Howard reminded club members to be sure to vote online for the 2020-2021 slate of officers no later than 11:59 pm, Friday, May 15. Refer to one of Howard’s emails for the link. There will be a turnover of officers in 5 offices - president, vice president, secretary & 2 members at large positions. All positions will be new to the Steering Committee.
Club Year Ending in June ~ Howard told members that the Chester County Camera Club year is coming to a close in June. There will be an end-of-year virtual meeting on Wednesday, June 10. Awards, prizes, end-of-year festivities will be done on-line; however, there will not be an official party due to the Corona virus. Howard reminded members to have their favorite beverage and party food for the celebration.
Summer Challenge ~ Howard informed everyone that Anita Bower & Stephanie Vacek will be heading up a summer challenge this year. Stay tuned for an official announcement soon!
Next Meeting ~ The next virtual meeting is competition night, which will take place on Wednesday, May 27 at 6:30 pm. The topic is Breaking Compositional Rules. This will be the last opportunity to earn points towards the Photographer of the Year award.
Tonight’s speaker ~ Ginia Apostolacus introduced Frank T. Smith, who spoke about travel photography.
