At the Mentor Meeting,  Svenne Juul covered the basics and shared some techniques to achieve good action photos.  He focused on sports photography and explained how and why to control focus, aperture, shutter speed and focal length.   Perfect timing to learn about action photography for the upcoming competition assigned topic of “Stop Action”.

Buzz Mossholder then shared a few photoshop techniques with the group.  Of particular interest to some was learning about “Content-Aware Fill” which easily replaces unwanted portions of an image such as power lines, or a distracting tree branch as shown in his live demonstration.
