The exhibition will run from January 3 - March 20. Members are encouraged to RSVP for the reception and come out to support fellow club members!

Outings ~

* Howard Sundwall told the club that he will be sending out a survey to members for their input on where they would like the next bus trip to go.  Members are encouraged to complete the survey ASAP.

* Dean Grantham ~ The next club outing will take place on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM ~ Pennsylvania State Capitol Complex - Harrisburg ~ We will be visiting the rather fantastic Pennsylvania State Capitol Complex--rightly described as a Palace of Art.  Several private spaces in the Capitol Complex are being held for our photography from 1:00 to 4:00 pm, for instance the House Chamber (with 14 huge gold-leaf-trimmed stained-glass windows and massive murals) and the House Majority Caucus Room. Many public spaces are must-see, including the Main Capitol Building Rotunda and the Ryan Office Building’s main entrance.   We will be traveling to/from Harrisburg on Amtrak. Train connections are Train #641 from Exton Station (or any other station stops for Train 641); this train arrives in Harrisburg at 10:46 am. Members are encouraged to purchase train tickets ASAP before they sell out. Please let Dean know if you plan on attending the outing.  For more information, please click here: /club/Events_view.aspx?Eventid=a84b453f-f2d3-4a6d-a626-cb13754fc275

Members Forum ~ Anita Bower introduced tonight’s Forum speaker, Naviot Hanspal, who presented “Splash, Flash and Capturing the Action”.

Tonight’s speaker ~ Carol DeGiuseppi introduced Larry Hinson who presented “Light as Language” to the club.  Larry discussed what makes good light in photography, where to find good light, how to create good light out of bad light and how to create good light in flash photography. Larry discussed and showed many of his images from seascapes to portraits and explained how the images were made.

Larry is an award-winning photographer born in Wilmington, Delaware. His love of photography began as a counselor at YMCA Camp Tockwogh where he learned darkroom processing. He enjoys photographing landscapes, airshows, seascapes, portraits, urban scenes and images of the Brandywine Valley. He has been an active member of the Delaware Photographic Society for six years, and he served as the Projected Image Director for the Club as well as Chair of the Projected Image Competition for the Wilmington International Exhibition of Photography. Currently, Larry is Chair of the 2019 Wilmington International Exhibition of Photography.
