MEETING NOTES - APRIL 24, 2019

Choir Room ~ Westminster Presbyterian Church

 

Meeting ~ Carol DeGuiseppi called the meeting to order.  She asked everyone to please silence their cell phones.

 

Visitors ~ There were 6 new visitors/members at tonight’s meeting.

 

Bus Trip to NYC ~ Carol reminded the club members that the bus trip to Central Park in NYC is June 15, 2019.  She reminded everyone to submit their application and money by May 8.

 

Last Speaker of the Club Year ~ Carol announced that the final speaker of the year will be Lisa Cuchera  She will present “Focusing on the Details: Create Fine Art Photographs from Urban Exploration”.  Lisa and her husband, Tom, have published a few books and will have them for sale for $20 each ~ cash only.  You can read more about Lisa and Tom and view their photographs at www.photographybylisaandtom.com

Saturday, May 11, 2019 - Stoneleigh Gardens - 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM ~ Stoneleigh Gardens began in 1877 as a 65-acre estate, owned by Edmund Smith, who built a mansion and hired a landscape architect to shape the grounds.  Stoneleigh’s gardens, fields, and architecture offer ample opportunities for photography.  For further information, please click here: /club/Events_view.aspx?Eventid=bc6be15d-e0d5-49ff-9060-1070ed284d9d    Carpoolers will depart from the Exton Panera (151 East Swedesford Rd, Exton, PA) at 9:15 am. If you drive directly to Stoneleigh Gardens, the address is 1829 East County Line Road, Villanova, PA. We will meet at the parking lot at 10 am. Please let Dean Grantham know if you plan to go, and indicate whether or not you will be carpooling. 

Members Forum - Anita Bower introduced Betsy Wilson, who gave a presentation called "Still Life - Beyong Fruit Bowls and Flowers"

Presenter ~ Carol DeGuiseppi  introduced tonight’s speaker, Jackie Kramer, who presented "Artistic Floral Photography - A Window into my Garden”.
